As a child, I always knew that I was going to be a veterinarian, like my grandfather. To save animals was my greatest desire...
However, life planned a different thing for me and I ended up studying marketing. I worked in the field in Mexico City. Even though it was a great thing to do, I wasn't completely satisfied so I decided to follow my first desire (to be a veterinarian), but my dream didn't last for too long when I realized that I can't stand blood. I was completely disappointed. To compensate, I began to practice my drawing. I also joined an alebrijes class (an alebrije is a fantastic animal).
It was the solution: if I couldn't save animals, I could create them.
And one thing led to another and today I love to create not only fantastic animals, but to express things in new ways: painting, sculpture, photography, collage, drawing.
So to mix the two paths in my life—marketing and art—I studied Design Communication Arts at the UCLA Extension.
Today I am a graphic artist with experience in marketing and a passion for art and self-expression.
Que viva el arte!!
